The Braun 370 Travel Shaver review
Overall : Excellent, no fuss, no nonsense low cost shaver Bought at a price of: $26
Uses 2 AA batteries - lasts for about 1 yearFirst, let me say that I hate rotary shavers, from my experience they just don’t shave close at all. And the price, my god, I wonder what their profit margins are like. Now on the other hand, the Braun foil style shavers actually work nicely. It’s based on a vibrating broad comb that’s placed against a perforated metal screen and cuts the hair follicles as they pass through the screen.
However, while writing this, I realized one possible advantage that the rotary shavers have over foil. , namely the ability to handle long hair. In order for the foil to work, the stubble must be able to fit through the small perforations. Long hair will be like trying to push a long thread into a needle hole, you have to hold it close to the end (making it short) in order to get it in.
However, this shaver has a built in beard trimmer that solves that problem. Just flip the switch and the trimmer pops up.
So far, there has not been any problems at all, other than my own stupidity in letting the batteries run out while shaving.
Don’t waste your money on the fancy expensive shavers with the nickel metal hydride batteries and gel injection crap - they’re useless features to separate you from your hard earned money. Really, that stuff is just created to satisfy the Christmas shopper that’s too lazy to find something useful and they just buy something based on price.
I think the new version of this is the Braun 370 Pocket Go shaver. Looks like the same thing, but in a more cooler looking package.
